colorful UFO

I came across this UFO the other day and decided to work on it. I had to cut away the black fabric and put the colored fabric behind it. I had about 1/4 of the colored pieces in place when I stopped working on it.  When I found it the other day, I decided that I would get all the pieces in place before it goes back in the box.  I used elmer’s glue on some of it so the shiny areas on the black is just from the glue, which will wash out.  Now I have to stitch down all the raw edges of the black fabric. It might be another couple of years before I work on it again! LOL!!! The colored fabrics are all hand dyed. I wish I could get my hand dyed fabrics to look like these.  Maybe someday…………………

Jan, I’ll think about it. For now I have it hanging on the design wall. I’m not sure what to do for borders.
